With the 2016 NFL draft coming up on the 29 th of April, we decided to put together some ideas on how to throw a great draft party for you and your friends! Whether you like football or not, there’s fun to be had for everyone! Here is a list of fun food, decoration, drinks and game ideas to get you in the spirit of the day.
1. Color-coded ice cream
Using different flavor ice creams, put together the colors of your favorite teams in one cup for you and your friends. You can even have multiple teams or let guests put together their own. If you want to get more hands-on you can make cupcakes with different colored icing or just plain cupcakes and let guests decorate their own cupcakes after their favorite teams.
2. Football field table
Decorate your table with a football pitch layout. Some instructions on how to do that here. Perfect if you like to get crafty and really bring the spirit of football to the party.
3. Get some free printables
A little something to add to your cupcakes and cups to put your nachos in, here are some great free printables to print and cut out at home!
4. Buffalo chicken sliders
Does anything scream NFL louder than this delicious chicken in a bun with hot sauce? We don’t know, let’s give it a try! The 29 th can’t come soon enough!
5. Touchdown brownies
Whoever made these brownies is a genius. If you’re not a brownie fan, get out of here! Just kidding!
You can always make a football-shaped cookie batch or cake, or get creative with some veggies instead! Who said healthy had to be boring?
6. Football cheese and crackers
Along the same theme, here is another variation of the football-themed food: cheese, crackers and salami, YUM. Basically, you can’t go wrong with loads and loads of food. Especially if cheese is involved.
7. Pin the football in the goal-post
Bring out the kid in everyone with this adult version of pin the tail on the donkey. Whoever gets the football closest to the center wins!
8. Keep the tv on and the radio out
You want to make sure everyone is up to date with the draft so make sure you switch on the sports news to keep everyone in the loop.
