Summer vacation is coming to an end. We had fun spending time with family and going on vacation. We spent plenty of days hanging out with friends going to the beach, the mall, playing games and seeing films. But it’s time to get back to school! Even though we enjoyed summer to its fullest extent, let’s not fret – there are plenty of reasons to enjoy going back to class! Here are a few of them:
- Friends, new and old
Remember passing notes with friends in some classes? Well it never gets old. It’s the little things that make you want to go back to school and enjoy time in classes with your friends. There are also those friends that you don’t get to spend time with over the summer; it’s always nice to catch up and spend lunch hour and breaks talking away. And don’t forget about all the new students you will get to meet when heading back to school! When new students come in, it isn’t always easy for them to make friends, so say hello and make a new buddy.
- Graduation is another year closer
Each year you come back to school you are getting closer and closer to graduation day. Whether you are in high school or starting a new semester in college, it’s always nice to know that you are getting closer to your goal, whether it’s getting out of education for good, getting the grades you want or getting to party. Every year is an investment in your future, a learning experience whether you love school or can’t wait to get out to start travelling or working.
Finding a girlfriend or boyfriend is rarely an easy task, but with the start of school coming, pursuing potential love interests is something to look forward to! You will be surrounded by people around your age who are also looking to find someone they enjoy being around and spending quality time with. It also makes school much nicer to come back to when you can walk through those doors and know that your special somebody is there to brighten up your day. And if you don’t have a special somebody? Having crushes is pretty fun too!
- Getting to read great literature
It’s always amazing to find a great book to read, whether it’s the Catcher in the Rye or To Kill a Mockingbird. Coming back to school means you will be reading all sorts of new literature, and while it may not all be to your taste, you are basically guaranteed to find at least one piece of life-changing literature to read in English class.
During the summer holiday it can be rather difficult to get a large enough group of friends together to play some sports. Getting back to school means that all the team sports will be back in action and you can play to your heart’s content.
- School dances
School dances are always eventful, from your English teacher dressed up as a wizard and DJ-ing at the Halloween disco, to preparing what to wear with your girlfriends, to finally getting to dance with that cute boy or girl you’ve been thinking about all summer. School dances are rife with romantic and humorous potential!
